Starlight Children’s Foundation
Richardson & Wrench Bondi Beach have proudly supported the Starlight Children’s Foundation for over 20 years. Each year, we make annual donations and actively participate in many of Starlight’s fundraising initiatives to help raise additional funds for this incredible cause.
One initiative we proudly partake in is the Starlight Spring Campaign. During this campaign, when clients list and sell a property with us in spring, or list a new management property, we donate a portion of our commission directly to Starlight.
The Starlight Children’s Foundation knows that happiness matters, especially to children facing the fear, pain, and stress of serious illness. For over 35 years, Starlight has partnered with healthcare professionals to bring joy, laughter, and positive distraction to sick kids, helping them feel like kids again—even in hospital.
Starlight supports children of all ages, regardless of illness, injury, or disability—because what happens in childhood lasts a lifetime. At the heart of their mission is a belief we wholeheartedly share: happiness matters to the health and wellbeing of sick kids.
Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club
Richardson & Wrench Bondi Beach are proud to have been long-standing sponsors of the Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club for over 20 years.
Each year, the Club plays a vital role in saving lives at Bondi Beach. Through rigorous training and active competition, they maintain a team of highly skilled volunteer lifesavers who are prepared to respond to any emergency on the beach.
As a volunteer organisation, the Club relies on the dedication of its members, who contribute more than 40 hours each season on patrol, in addition to time spent on training, education, and competition.
Damien Thomlinson
Richardson & Wrench Bondi Beach are proud sponsors of Damien Thomlinson — Ex-Commando, motivational speaker, brand ambassador, best-selling author, actor & professional golfer.
Damien’s story is one of extraordinary resilience. A veteran of the war in Afghanistan, his life changed forever in 2009 when his unit struck a Taliban improvised explosive device during a night patrol. The explosion resulted in the loss of both legs and life-threatening injuries. Despite overwhelming odds, Damien survived — a feat his medical team called a miracle.
Rather than retreat, Damien faced his recovery with determination, viewing it as a challenge to overcome. His strength, positivity, and refusal to give up have inspired people around the world.
Today, Damien is one of Australia’s leading motivational speakers, the author of a best-selling autobiography, an advocate for veterans and disability causes, and a cast member in the Oscar-winning film Hacksaw Ridge.
His journey is a powerful reminder that no challenge is too great — and that the ANZAC spirit lives on.

This annual event celebrates the dedication, innovation, and outstanding contributions of businesses within the Waverley Local Government Area (LGA). Hosted by Waverley Council, the Brightest & Best Business Awards shine a spotlight on the local business community and its vital role in driving economic growth and community engagement.
Clubbie Classic
Richardson & Wrench Bondi Beach have been proud sponsors of The Clubbie Classic Bondi for close to 10 years.
The Clubbie Classic is an annual surf lifesaving competition held at the Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club. This much-loved event celebrates the skills, camaraderie, and spirit of the Club through a fun-filled day of friendly competition.
The Clubbie Classic features a variety of events that test both athletic ability and surf lifesaving technique, including: Board sprint races, relay events, an M-shaped surf course, a judged styled riding competition.
The day is capped off with a relaxed barbecue and an awards presentation, bringing members together to celebrate their achievements and community.
The event has continually been sponsored by two local businesses with deep ties to the Club, including Richardson & Wrench Bondi Beach – Jason Taylor, and Kinvel Projects – Ryan Jenkin. Both businesses are owned by long-serving Club members who have shown enduring commitment to supporting the Club and its community.
