Vale Keiran Speed
Sadly, Keiran passed away in 2024. Keiran, you will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever be a part of Bondi and the community you loved so much.
Keiran began his journey with Richardson & Wrench Bondi Junction / Bondi Beach in 1974, he proudly served as a Director, shaping the company with his leadership and vast expertise. A Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Australia and the Australian Property Institute, he was more than just a real estate professional—he was a mentor, a guiding force, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of working with him. He generously shared his knowledge, always striving to uplift those around him.
Growing up in Bondi, Keiran developed a deep-rooted love for the area, and across his 40+ years in real estate, he became more than just an expert—he became a pillar of the community. His passion for Bondi was evident in everything he did, from his commitment to his clients to his dedication to preserving and enhancing the place he called home.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Keiran’s impact extended far beyond the walls of the office. He was a lifelong supporter of community and sports, honoured with Life Membership at Bondi Surf Bathers Lifesaving Club , along with multiple NSW and Australian Championships, and Life Member of Eastern Suburbs District Rugby Club— also winning the First-Grade Grand final in 1969, a distinction that few could match. These achievements speak volumes about the loyalty, commitment, and respect he both gave and received throughout his life.
Keiran’s career has been marked by numerous awards, but his greatest achievement within the Richardson & Wrench network came in 2019, when he was named the National Winner of the Directors Award. This was a moment that all who knew Keiran in the network will never forget. Surrounded by his business partner Jason Taylor, his daughter, wife, and the Bondi Beach team, Keiran received this prestigious accolade just before the COVID-19 pandemic struck. This was also the last awards night we shared with Keiran, making it even more of a special & memorable event.
To his clients, colleagues, and peers, Keiran was a trusted advisor, a mentor, and a friend. The countless lifelong relationships he built over the decades are a testament to his genuine care, professionalism, and kindness.
Keiran’s legacy will live on, not just in the homes and businesses he helped build, but in the hearts of those who knew him. The Richardson & Wrench network remember him with deep gratitude for his friendship, wisdom, and unwavering dedication.
